Oxley Vale Watermain Replacement

Overview

Around 500 metres of water mains in Oxley Vale's residential area will be replaced from late March until approximately July 2026. The watermains have reached the end of their useful lifespan and require replacement.

This includes replacement of watermains along Yarmouth Parade, Alexandra Street and Fiona Street.

These works are expected to take approximately 4 months, with crews working on select blocks at any one time.

Project works

These works are part of our Strategic Asset Renewal Program, which aims to prioritise the watermains reaching the end of their lifespan and experiencing a history of breaks and leaks .A large section of the works will also include upsizing of water pipe diameter to provide greater capacity of water flow.

Works will be undertaken between 7am and 5pm on weekdays with potential for some work on Saturdays up until 1pm.

Some road closures and planned water outages may occur during this time.
