Report a Modern Slavery Issue

Tamworth Regional Council is committed to combating modern slavery and has implemented a Modern Slavery Prevention Policy, which is incorporated in Council’s procurement framework by way of a Modern Slavery Risk Management Plan.

Whilst Tamworth Regional Council is taking steps to minimise the risk of modern slavery in its supply chain, we are open to receiving reports of suspicion or actual threats of modern slavery both in out supply chain or within or community.  If you believe you are a victim of modern slavery, we welcome the opportunity to assist you in obtaining the right support and locating appropriate resources.

The following information from the Office of the NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner (OASC) helps define modern slavery, and what signs to look for when you suspect an instance of modern slavery:

If you suspect, or have identified, modern slavery in Council’s supply chain; or you wish to report suspicions of modern slavery in our community

The OASC Fact sheet (PDF 453.8KB) provides a number of resources for help and support.  Alternatively, you may use this form to report suspected or actual modern slavery in Tamworth Regional Councils supply chain or operations, or within our community.

Anyone can make a report to us.
