Tamworth Regional Council hold Council Meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Members of the community, including school groups are welcome to attend Council Meetings.
Business papers being presented at Council Meetings are available on the Friday afternoon prior to the meeting. You can access business papers from Council Customer Services Counters or download them directly here.
With the safety and wellbeing of both our community and staff in mind and due to restrictions implemented in New South Wales to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 the Council Chambers is currently closed to the public.
Council requests that members of the public view the meeting online as it is live streamed.
If you wish to speak on an agenda item please record a three minute address and send in to be played at the meeting or put your concerns in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org which will be distributed to Councillors and Senior Staff.
If you would like to address a Council Meeting, there are two options.
To speak at community consultation, a person must first make an application to Council in the approved form. Applications to speak at community consultation must be received by 4:30pm the day before the date on which the community consultation is to be held, and must identify the item of business on the agenda of the Council Meeting the person wishes to speak on, and whether they wish to speak 'for' or 'against' the item.

Anyone who would like to address the Council Meeting on matters that are not included in the Business Paper for a Council Meeting may do so at a Public Forum. Public Forums are not public meetings, but an opportunity for members of the public to address the Councillors.
Public Forums are held on the second Tuesday of each month, which is the first Council Meeting of the month. Public Forums run for 30 minutes from 6:00pm and take place in the Function Room of Ray Walsh House.
If you would like to address the Public Forum you must register online by 4:30pm on the day prior to the Public Forum.
