Funding push after August floods
We’re applying for State and Federal disaster recovery funding after the floods in early August caused more than $1 million in damage to our roads and bridges. This support will help us fix the damage quickly without putting extra strain on local rates.

Tamworth Regional Council has secured $200,000 to progress plans for Special Entertainment Precincts supporting live music and nightlife.

Koori Knockout kicks goals for community
The 2025 Koori Knockout is set to bring big energy to the capital of country this October long weekend! From 3 to 6 October, Tamworth will welcome thousands of players, families and supporters for one of regional New South Wales' biggest sporting events and the nation’s largest gathering of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.More than just thrilling footy, the Knockout is a proud celebration of culture, connection and community spirit.

Capital of Country Tennis
Tamworth is set to serve up top-class tennis this month, as the community hosts its first-ever Australian Pro Tour event – the Capital of Country International. The event will be held at the newly redeveloped Courts @ East from 7-21 September.
