Calls for improved accessibility were received through community consultation that was undertaken as part of the public exhibition of the Strategy. The works include installing new pram ramps, gutter bridges and signs, making it safer and easier to access the footpath from vehicles. Works began on the accessible spaces on Peel Street, between Darling and Roderick Streets, last month and weather permitting, should take about six weeks to complete.
