Council Meetings
Tamworth Regional Council hold Council Meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Business papers being presented at Council Meetings are available on the Friday afternoon prior to the meeting. You can access business papers from Council Customer Services Counters or download them directly here.
Attend a Council Meeting in person
Council Meetings are currently being held in the Council Chamber at the Lands Building, 25-27 Fitzroy Street, Tamworth. To access the building, enter the gate on the right-hand side of the building, go up the ramp and follow signage.
Council Meetings commence at 6pm.
Members of the community, including school groups are welcome to attend Council Meetings.
Members of the public can also view a live stream on Council's Facebook page. A link to the recording will be made available on Council's website and social media channels afterwards.
Public Forum (formally known as 'Community Consultation')
In accordance with Section 4 of Council's Code of Meeting Practice, Council holds Public Forum prior to each ordinary Council Meeting to hear oral submissions from members of the public on items of business to be considered at the Meeting.
To speak at Public Forum, a person must first make an application to Council in the approved form. Applications to speak at Public Forum must be received by 4:30pm the day before the date on which the Public Forum is to be held and must identify the item of business on the agenda of the Council Meeting the person wishes to speak on, and whether they wish to speak 'for' or 'against' the item.
