Here we are at the end of another year - where did those 12 months go? It was a busy year which included the election of a new team of Councillors to lead our region. Your elected representatives are making every effort to make choices and take actions which serve you - our community - best. Our annual Festival is almost here
It’s shaping up to be another exciting Tamworth Country Music Festival with around 2,000 events scheduled, featuring more than 700 artists. With Christmas just around the corner, why not buy tickets for your friends and family? The 2025 festival has performances for all ages, showcasing all styles of country music.

Work starts on visionary raised walkway
Preliminary works are underway for the Tamworth Regional Skywalk - a visionary raised walkway amid the treetops of Victoria Park extending 1.5km from Endeavour Drive up to the Scenic Oxley Lookout. Tamworth Region Mayor Russell Webb said the Skywalk is expected to become the premier walking attraction of the New England North West. "It will be a unique recreational activity designed for people of all ages and abilities," he said.

New facility in Kootingal
Kootingal residents can now enjoy a state-of-the-art community hub with the opening of the Kootingal Multipurpose Centre. After eight months of refurbishments, the centre boasts a flexible, open-plan design, including a newly built library.
