Since the September Local Government election there has been a strong focus among your elected representatives to connect with each other and work together. Through briefings, induction sessions and meetings, we are getting to know each other better. It is clear to me that all Tamworth Region Councillors are making it a priority to get on with the job our community has charged us with.

Our region recently hosted the Local Government NSW Annual Conference, welcoming 900 delegates to Tamworth and surrounds for the three-day event.

Ignite your passion for volunteering
The MyTRC Volunteer Connect Expo is bigger than ever in 2024! With a whole lot of exhibitors, this year’s event will be held at the Tamworth Town Hall on Sunday 24 November from 9am-11am. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and explore a wide range of volunteer opportunities in the region! More than 20 exhibitors will be available to chat about their groups, and how you can make a real impact in the community.

Interactive recycling hub
To celebrate National Recycling Week, we've launched a new interactive kiosk at the Tamworth City Library. Developed by Zero Waste, the kiosk features engaging games, quizzes, and AI-driven modules tailored to our region's waste rules.
