Return of microchipping and vaccination day

Tuesday 27 October, 2020

The first vaccination and microchipping day for 2020 will be held on Thursday 29 October, 2020 from 9am until 1pm.

The day is open to all residents in the Tamworth region who would like to book in a microchipping or vaccination appointment for their dog or cat.

Tamworth Regional Council Manager Planning and Compliance Ross Briggs said the event is typically twice a year, but the event earlier this year was cancelled due to COVID-19.

"Microchipping is available for all Tamworth region residents who provide proof of address, and is free for the first two animals per household.

"Residents who have a valid pension or healthcare care will be eligible for the reduced cost of $15."

Bookings are essential to attend this event as limited spaces are available, residents are asked to call Tamworth Regional Pound at (02) 6762 6329 to confirm their booking.

The location of the event will be revealed once a booking is confirmed.

Tamworth Regional Council have partnered with Tamworth RSPCA and TAFE New England veterinary students to make this event happen.
