Curby Soft Plastics Program

The Curby Soft Plastics Program is accessible to Tamworth Regional Council residents to recycle your soft plastic packaging from home. However, the Curby Trial Program has ended and the New Curby program is in operation as from May 2025.

Please note: that the Curby program is not an initiative of Tamworth Regional Council and all enquiries / troubleshooting should be directed to Curby.

Curby Bilby

You need to Register to participate in the Curby program and there is an Optional Paid Reward Program. HOWEVER, joining the Curby Rewards Program is completely optional and a decision for you to make. Council will not pay for residents to be part of the paid rewards subscription program.

Council will support residents to continue to recycle their soft plastics through their kerbside recycling bin, with the provision of a limited number of bags. Any further support or provision of the program will be reviewed in 2026/2027.

Council will dispense Curby Program bags under these terms and conditions (which are subject to change at any time):

  • You must be registered with the Curby Program;
  • Bags must be collected from one of Council’s Customer Service Offices;
  • Only 4 bags per pack will be issued to residents;
  • Only one pack per month will be issue to residents to assist in extending bag availability;
  • Curby bags from Council will not provide you entries into the Curby Rewards Program.

If you need more information about the Curby Program and how to register visit the Curby website.
