Tamworth Regional Playground Soft Fall Upgrade

Overview

Users of the Tamworth Regional Playground will benefit from works to replace the current pine bark soft fall to a rubber surface.

During the work period, areas of the playground will be closed to the public. To minimise disruption to our community the work will be done in three stages; the flying fox, infant play area, and junior play area including mammoth swing.

The rubber soft fall will provide greater accessibility navigating the playground for prams and wheelchairs, while providing more controlled compliance for user safety and substantial maintenance savings. The decision to upgrade the soft fall has been made due to the high usage of the Tamworth Regional Playground, and the current soft fall used across playgrounds in the region is compliant to Australian safety standards.
