We’ve had a huge response to parking meters in our CBD, so it’s time for a quick update.
The cost is $1.20/hour, and you can choose to pay per 15min at the meter or per minute using the EasyPark app. This means you only pay for how long you stay.
A reminder - valid Mobility parking scheme permit holders DO NOT need to pay.
6,500 vehicles per day travel down Peel Street vying for just 120 parking spaces between White St and Bourke St, and initial data is showing similar occupancy of parks but an improvement in the turnover of spaces which is great for our CBD.
