The multi award-winning children’s music group have gone country and released a new single and video that promises to rev up the fun. Big Red Ute is a lively country-rock infused anthem that invites young listeners (and parents alike) to hop on board for an exciting musical journey and sing all the way to Tamworth!

For the first time, The Wiggles have also unveiled a brand new, official roadworthy vehicle, the Big Red Ute, perfect for a trip to the country.

Anthony Wiggle says Big Red Ute is a playful nod to the Wiggles’ original Big Red Car.

"It’s a song families can sing and dance to together, and we can’t wait to perform it at the Tamworth Country Music Festival,” he said.

During the festival, The Wiggles will take their show off road and perform two very special shows at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre on January 21.

It’s the first time they will perform in such a unique venue which is usually home to rodeos, dog agility, horse cutting and other equine disciplines.

Tamworth Country Music Festival Manager Barry Harley said The Wiggles are a fantastic addition to the fesival and will draw in families from everywhere to experience all the festival has to offer.

"We are excited to welcome The Wiggles to Tamworth for the Toyota 53rd Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.'' he said.

"There’s no better place to showcase their latest country hit than in Australia’s Country Music Capital.

"We can’t wait to see The Wiggles pose in front of the Big Golden Guitar - two icons coming together." 

Beyond the festival, Tamworth offers a variety of affordable family activities, including award-winning playgrounds and a marsupial park unlike any other in NSW. There's also attractions like the Tamworth Regional Astronomy and Science Centre in Victoria Park, The Oxley Lookout, splash pad in Bicentennial Park and more.
