Changed traffic changes - Norris' Bridge closure on Top Somerton Rd

As part of Council's Timber Bridge Replacement Program, Top Somerton Road will be closed at Norris' Bridge Somerton from January 22 for an approximate 4 month period.

This will allow for the demolition of the existing bridge, and to construct a concrete replacement.

The bridge is located approximately 1.6km east of Somerton Road intersection, and 3.3km west of the Claremont Park Lane intersection.  

As a sidetrack is not possible with the terrain, road users will need to use Lower Somerton Road as a detour.

Heavy plant will be operating weekdays 7-5.30pm, and weekends 8am-1pm. Work outside these hours will be by Council approval.
