Become a Toyota Country Music Festival Volunteer!

North West residents can now be a part of Australia’s largest and longest live country music celebration, with registrations now open for the volunteer program for the 2024 Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth.
Throughout the 10-day event, volunteers play a vital role in helping both locals and visitors to navigate around the Festival precinct, as well as provide advice and assistance to those in need.
Tamworth Regional Council Volunteer Services Officer, Luke MacDonald says the ambassador program is an exciting and fun way to experience the iconic Toyota Country Music Festival and is a great opportunity to meet new people and gain valuable volunteering experience.
“Whether you’re new to volunteering or have plenty of experience under your belt, the role of a festival ambassador is suited to any skill or experience level,” he said.
“Not only is it a rewarding experience, but volunteering as a festival ambassador can be added to your resume, plus you’ll get to experience one of Australia’s largest live music events in a very unique way!”
Festival volunteers will be required to work three-to-four-hour shifts in teams of two or three, across multiple locations during the Toyota Country Music Festival, including the Tamworth Visitor Information Centre, Peel Street, and the main Festival precinct.
Volunteers will be scheduled in for at least three shifts across the 10-days and the program is open to anyone 16 years or older.
Applicants 18 years and over will also need a valid Volunteer Working with Children Check.
“All volunteer ambassadors will receive training prior to the Festival, and will receive a volunteer thank you pack as a token of our appreciation for all their hard work,” said Luke.
“This is a great opportunity to gain some valuable experience, give back to the community and have a lot of fun at the same time, so I encourage anyone interested to get involved.”
