Welcome to MyTRC Volunteer Connect!
The home of volunteering for the Tamworth region, delivered by Tamworth Regional Council.
Volunteering is more than just lending a helping hand; it is a powerful force that fosters compassion, strengthens bonds, and drives positive change. Volunteering plays a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of both volunteers and those they assist. Volunteers come in all ages, backgrounds and with different experience levels. Individuals, seniors, youth, new and existing residents can all become volunteers and can get involved in a range of roles depending on their interests and skill sets. The Tamworth region has volunteer opportunities on offer across many sectors of the community including sporting organisations, school groups, service organisations, community groups, aged care services, health and wellbeing services, parks, gardens and outdoor services and arts and culture services.
Volunteers are the life blood of our region. Every day, over 5000 people volunteer their time across the community, supporting youth, families, the elderly, our native flora and fauna, sporting organisations and our thriving arts culture.
How can I become a Volunteer?
The path to becoming a volunteer will be different for each role. We recommend, start by looking through the opportunities available. Once you have found a role that you like, click the ‘expression of interest’ button at the bottom of each page. It is as simple as that!
Why is Volunteering important?
When individuals come together to serve the community, the impact that is made is beyond incredible. Volunteering is more than just lending a helpful hand; it is a powerful force that fosters compassion, strengthens bonds, and drives positive change.
