Council is investing $1,300,000 into these water mains as part of Council’s Water Asset Renewal Program. As part of the construction, the project will also include larger diameter water main installation to improve water capacity and flow to cater for current and future water requirements in the area. The project is being undertaken by Council Construction Staff.

Work is expected to take approximately six (6) months to complete. Construction crews will work between the hours of 7am and 5pm on weekdays and some Saturday work between the hours of 7am and 1pm may also be required to minimise the impacts of any water outage on residents, businesses and schools in the area.

There will be changes to traffic conditions in the area throughout the project. Please follow all road signage for detours or diversions. Construction Staff will liaise with any impacted properties for access requirements throughout the project..

To allow the connection of properties to the new water main, short term water outages will occur at various times during the project. Any impacted residents will be notified before any disruptions to water supply take place.

If you have any further questions about the project, please contact Council’s Project Manager Jonathon Bell on 6767 5555 or trc@tamworth.nsw.gov.au.
