Information required to lodge a DA

All Development Applications (DAs) submitted must be accompanied by supporting documentation for assessment and determination. Exempt Developments and Complying Developments are exempt from this requirement.

Development Application Checklist

Council’s Development Application Checklist provides clear guidance on the type of documentation required for residential, commercial and other development types at time of lodgement. It also provides a detailed breakdown of other supporting reports and applications which may be required depending on the type of development.

The checklist is to assist the general public and development industry with understanding Council's expectations upfront of what is required to be lodged with development applications.

The expectation is that this will expedite the development assessment process by reducing requests for additional information which in turn will improve approval timeframes. Council's expectation is that this checklist will also be completed, signed and lodged with all development applications.

Subdivision Certificate Checklist

Replacing Council's current subdivision certificate checklist, this new Subdivision Certificate Checklist is to be completed, signed and lodged with all subdivision certificate applications.
Any application that does not contain the mandatory documents for lodgement will not be accepted by Council and returned via the NSW Planning Portal.

The expectation is this will expedite the subdivision certificate process and reduce delays. Based on implementing this approach, Council commits to a seven (7) day turnaround of subdivision certificate applications. The seven (7) days turnaround will be subject to Council not requiring any additional information to sign off on the subdivision certificate.
