It was wonderful to have Minister for Arts, Music and the Night-time Economy John Graham back in Tamworth in February, launching Heartland: A Plan for Regional NSW Arts, Culture and Creative Industries.
It was an honour to host the launch at the Tamworth Regional Gallery, and I hope you'll take a look at the plan and associated funding opportunities if you're involved with the arts locally.
The arts help build our identity and connection, with many chances to express ourselves, reflect or be entertained by our talented community. They also contribute a lot to our economy, and I'm pleased we can support such a diverse sector.
Local dramatic and musical societies, dance studios, galleries and art classes, and smaller independent companies offer incredible opportunities for performers, artists, students and audiences. We have so much to enjoy in our region and there really is something for every taste and interest.
Whatever form art may take, you can find it here!
