Paradise Pump Station Remediation - Demolition Update

Demolition of Paradise Pump Station is scheduled to begin on Thursday 10 September. The demolition forms part of the remediation project that will remove the existing pump station and convert the area into a daytime recreation space.

The demolition will begin with the removal of asbestos on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 September. Safework have been notified and a targeted letterbox drop has been carried out by the Contractor informing immediate residents of the asbestos removal. Air monitoring will be conducted and an exclusion zone has been set up to protect residents in the area.

It is advised that members of the public who use King George Avenue for leisure or exercise activities avoid the area while demolition works are underway and space for parking is restricted.
