Road Status - Burgmanns Lane, Kingswood - Closed - Bridge Construction - 13 February to 24 December 2025

Construction of the new bridge continues. There have been major delays in construction time due to wet weather and construction delays.

• The road remains closed 150m east of New England Highway (just past City of Lights Holiday Park), and 50m west of Burgess Lane.
• Traffic control and detour signage are in place.
• Increased heavy vehicle movements daily between 7am – 6pm, including weekends.
• Expected to re-open late December 20265.
• Detours will be via: New England Highway/Goonoo Goonoo Rd >Whitehouse Lane>Ascot Calala Lane>Burgmanns Lane OR Burgmanns Lane>Ascot-Calala Lane>Whitehouse Lane> New England Highway/Goonoo Goonoo Rd
• There will be increased heavy vehicle movements daily between 7am – 6pm, including weekends.
