Fiesta La Peel returns this March!

The Fiesta La Peel Multicultural Street Festival returns in March 2022, bringing together peoples of many nations. The fiesta of food, flavours and cultures will take place in Bicentennial Park between 3pm and 8pm on Saturday 12 March 2022.

Fiesta La Peel is the region’s biggest multicultural event, with over 30 nationalities represented through a mix of cultural food stalls, demonstrations and performances.

Events Officer, Crystal Vero said that this event is a highlight on the Tamworth events calendar.

“Fiesta La Peel is one of the biggest events on the calendar in the Tamworth region. It is a celebration of the region’s rich and diverse multicultural community. Stall holder applications are open until 1 March, 2022 for anyone wanting to get involved in this amazing event.”

Eddie Whitham from Multicultural Tamworth said the multicultural community in the region has grown and offers new opportunities.

“In the last couple of years, we have seen new families moving to the region and offering even greater diversity of peoples and cultures. Fiesta La Peel is a great way to welcome people to the region, celebrate their culture and connect with community.”

Due to COVID interference, Fiesta La Peel is scheduled to take place twice in 2022, with a special event in March before it returns to its regular schedule in October.

As well as a range of activities and demonstrations, a selection of traditional cultural dishes will be on offer from a variety of multicultural food stalls.

Stallholder applications are open until 1 March 2022.
