It's time to have your say on our future!

Tamworth Regional Council is creating a plan which focuses on what is important to our community. And, to find out what is important Council is running a community survey from today until 7 January, 2022.

Whether it be attracting investment and skilled workers, celebrating our culture and heritage, improving our sustainability, better connectivity, smarter growth or strengthening our economy, Council wants to know. The feedback received through the community survey will be used to shape the draft Community Strategic Plan which will be presented to the community in April 2022.

The Community Strategic Plan is a community owned plan for the future of the Tamworth region and is reviewed every 4 years. This will be Council’s first Community Strategic Plan that will align directly with Council’s Blueprint 100 plan. Community input is crucial to help achieve the goal of creating a world-class regional centre, a great place to live, to work, to study and to visit. The plan will identify the main priorities and aspirations of our community and provide clear strategies to achieve this vision.

Tamworth Regional Council’s Manager of Strategy and Performance, Anna Russell said she is excited to see what is most important to the community and what the main priorities are for the future of our region.

“The Community Strategic Plan is a plan for all of us, so we need your feedback on the long-term vision for the region, the plan reflects your values and therefore drives the delivery of projects to make the Tamworth region a place we all love to live”, she said.

There will be a variety of ways for residents to be involved, including completing an online survey on Council’s website, completing a phone survey with Micromex research, and a number of face-to-face engagements stands.

Anyone who completes the online survey will go into the draw to win one of ten $100 Stay Regional Shop Regional vouchers.
