Taste Tamworth Festival signature events cancelled

Monday 16 March, 2020

Tamworth Regional Council has this morning made the difficult decision to cancel the Taste Tamworth Festival following advice from the Australian government in relation to the increased threat of COVID-19.

The festival cancellation encompasses all signature events run by Tamworth Regional Council, including the Laneway Pop-Up Bar, Taste in the Park, The Long Lunch and both High Tea in the Gardens events.

All online payments will be automatically refunded to the credit card used in the transaction. Entertainment Venues will be individually contacting ticket holders who purchased by other means to organise refunds.

In good news, the inaugural Taste Month campaign will still go ahead, showcasing local produce from the Tamworth region and beyond through smaller one-off foodie events and activities. Tamworth Regional Council encourages residents and visitors to take the opportunity to support local business by embracing the spirit of Taste Month this April.

Tamworth Regional Council will continue to find new and creative ways to connect with the Tamworth region’s community to bring joy and enrichment into people’s lives through other means over this difficult period of uncertainty.
