  • 2020 Fiesta La Peel Multicultural Street Festival cancelled - Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Tamworth Regional Council Mayor Col Murray has today announced on behalf of the Fiesta La Peel committee that the 2020 event will not go ahead.

  • Live Entertainment returns in September with a plan to ensure ‘the show can go on’! - Peter Ross, manager of Entertainment Venues for Tamworth Regional Council, announced today that a range of live entertainment events and concerts will definitely be going ahead from September. Music based events including The Rock Show Oz Edition, Gone Too Soon, The Songs and Tales of Angry Old Men, Damien Leith; as well as live theatre events including Les Divas: an All-Male Revue, Magic Beach, Edward The Emu and local events; The Studio’s Chapter One, Len Waters Cultural Spectacular, 2340 Big Band Rock The Classics and TCDA’s Eternity are proceeding.
  • National Thunder Rally postponed to 2021 - Tamworth Regional Council via Destination Tamworth has today announced that the inaugural National Thunder Motorcycle Rally to be held at Tamworth's Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) in October will not go ahead this year.
  • Update of roundabout installation in South Tamworth - The new roundabout at the intersection of Hillvue Road and Garden Street will be open for traffic from Friday 9 July.
