Even though caring can be rewarding, it can also be stressful. So it is important for you to know that there are services and information available to support you as a carer.

New England Carer Support Service provides information, education, support and links to services to assist you in your role as a carer.

We do this by providing:

• carers newsletters
• support group meetings
• carers Information Kit
• carers retreats
• carer training
• social groups and outings
• staff to talk to when you need

In Tamworth, the New England Carer Support Service is located at the Tamworth Community Centre in Darling Street, Tamworth and can be contacted by phoning (02) 6766 4480.

Contact the Carer Support Officer to discuss your needs. Information and referral services are provided free of charge.

The Tamworth Community Centre is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
