The Tamworth region is well-serviced by a huge variety of recreational facilities that cater for a wide spectrum of activities. With over 70 listed parks, gardens and reserves, four lookouts, six swimming pools, more than 40 sporting fields, three skate parks and over 150 sporting groups operating across the region, there is something for everyone. Sport is a major economic and social driver for the regional economy and attracts plenty of sports players and spectators each year.
