Anzac Park
Anzac Park is the oldest park in Tamworth and home of the Anzac Memorial Gates where the Tamworth dawn service is held every Anzac day. The northern NSW Sandakan memorial is also located within the park. With both a formal park section and a recreational area, this is a popular venue for family and group outings, barbeques, weddings and photographic functions or just relaxing.

Bicentennial Park
The Bicentennial Park stretches along the banks of the Peel River in Tamworth and includes the Swimming Pool, No. 1 Oval, the McKellar Stage and Village Green area as well as No. 3 Oval which is often used for Circuses and Amusement equipment during the Country Music Festival. Upgrade works were carried out in the park in 1988. The park also houses the Waler Memorial, country music busts, water features and ponds, stone artwork and the Man O War gates.

Botanic Gardens
The Botanic Gardens are located high on the hills overlooking the City of Tamworth. The gardens were established in 1995 and showcase a wide variety of local native plants. Walking trails lead from the gardens into adjacent bushland and provide an interesting and sometimes challenging walking environment. The Botanic Gardens has a nursery complex located on site and provides planting material for the Botanic Gardens as well as providing trees and shrubs for planting throughout the Tamworth local government area. One of the features of the garden is a bush chapel which is used for Weddings and naming ceremonies (a charge applies). A recently completed water feature which consists of a series of three ponds cascading down the hill into a holding pond from which water is pumped and recirculated throughout the garden. The ponds are stocked with ornamental fish and the gardens have been planted out with a variety of native trees and shrubs. Another popular feature of the Botanic Gardens is the Gazebo which is located in the centre of the gardens and this provides a focal point for weddings and other public events.

Coronation Park – Manilla
Coronation Park in Manilla is a very popular local park on the main highway used extensively by locals and visitors alike. The reserve has public toilets, playground equipment and picnic facilities. Shady trees make this an ideal spot to relax and provides a break for the travelling public.

No 1 Oval Pavilion
The No.1 Oval Pavilion is a popular venue for small meetings, training courses and other functions. The elevated view looks over the oval and CBD area. Tables and chairs are provided, however, the facility should be viewed to ensure its suitability for user needs.

Treloar Park
Treloar Park joins onto the Tamworth Tennis Club and displays an avenue of Canary Island date palms, trees, lawns, gardens and pathways with a small bridge over the gully. It is a popular recreational park and often used for wedding photography.

Viaduct Park
The historic railway viaduct transects the park with sporting fields on one side and a formal garden on the other. The park is used extensively for sporting activities, with small groups and families utilising the electric barbeque and picnic shelters.
