Below is a link to the minutes and a copy of the petition in relation to the public meeting held at the Tamworth Town Hall on Thursday December 1 2011. With regards to the petition please note that signatures can only be placed on this page and each page must be printed individually and in whole to be valid for the petition.
Purpose of the Meeting
There will be a public meeting held at the Tamworth Town Hall at 6:00pm on Thursday 1 December to discuss directly with the community the emerging problems of crime and anti social behaviour in Tamworth and to identify a range of achievable solutions and actions.
The Tamworth community needs to be proactive in its responses and approaches to community safety and crime prevention.
It is important for the meeting to focus on putting forward ideas, suggestions and solutions to address the key issues of community concern.
Key Speakers
The key speakers at the meeting will include:
- Mayor Councillor Col Murray to provide a formal welcome and overview of the purpose of the public meeting and proposed actions going forward
- Mr Phil O’Reilly - Crime Manager Oxley Command
- Mr Barry McMahon – Tamworth Police Association representative
- Mr Kevin Anderson – Member for Tamworth and representing the NSW Premier
