The objective of the Planning Proposal for 89 Marius Street, Tamworth is to amend the zoning of Lot 1 DP 803644 from IN1 General Industrial
to B4 Mixed Uses
to allow for future commercial/retail development and to introduce a Floor Space Ratio of 1:1 for this site to ensure consistency with the surrounding lands. The proposal also seeks to amend Clause 7.4 of the Tamworth Regional Local Environmental Plan 2010 to include Lot 1 DP 803644, 89 Marius Street and Lot 1 DP 70023, 8 O’Connell Street, Tamworth to allow for major commercial/retail development on this site.
The proposal was approved by the Department of Planning and Infrastructure on 14 June 2012 with instruction to proceed to the public consultation phase.
The Planning Proposal for 89 Marius Street, Tamworth will be publicly exhibited from Monday 6 August, 2012 to Monday 3 September, 2012 at:-
