Tamworth Regional Councillors have endorsed a long-term strategic plan which will guide the provision of infrastructure in the local area for the next 20 years and beyond.
The 2014 Tamworth Regional Infrastructure Strategy 2014 has been formally adopted by Council and identifies 'big ticket items' from transport to essential utility services and community infrastructure which are needed in the region to support growth plans as well as the community’s aspirations.
The 2014 Tamworth Regional Infrastructure Strategy sets out – at a high level – the regionally significant capital works projects that are considered important for the Tamworth Region over the next 20 plus years. This strategy will help each term of Council to decide which projects are important to deliver and encourage investment by State and Federal Governments and the private sector in the Tamworth Region.
