Tamworth Memorial to the Australian Light Horse - Lone Pine Proposal

At the 14 February 2012 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council approved a proposed landscape concept plan to establish a Lone Pine adjacent to the Tamworth Memorial to the Australian Light Horse (Waler Memorial) in Bicentennial Park, Tamworth, with a plaque commemorating the significance of these two World War 1 icons.
Council is seeking public comment on the proposed landscape concept plan prior to implementing the design. The plan will be on public exhibition from Monday 20 February through to Monday 19 March 2012 at Council’s web site and in Council’s Customer Service Centres during the following times:
- Ray Walsh House, Peel Street, Tamworth, 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday;
- Alice Street, Barraba, 8.30am to 12.00 noon and 1.00pm to 4:30pm Monday to Friday;
- Manilla Street, Manilla, 8.30am to 12.00 noon and 1.00pm to 4:30pm Monday to Friday; and
- Jenkins Street, Nundle, 8.30am to 12.00 noon and 1.00pm to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
At all times during the public exhibition period, feedback can be provided by either:
- Lodging a Written Submission to Council; or
- Forwarding your comments electronically (as an e-mail).

Submissions must be received by 5.00pm Monday 19 March 2012. All submissions will be considered before implementing the landscape design.
