Tamworth Regional Council has committed to some major investment in regional infrastructure building over the next year.
In its management plan for 2008-2009, TRC has framed a big spending budget and there’s significant commitment to capital investment and the development of extended council services and facilities including some innovative projects that will bring future dividends.
TRC has detailed some of its major projects and other information about council programs in its annual rates newsletter, mailed out to 25,648 ratepayers this week as part of their new rate notices.
It has news about new sports grounds and the indoor sports centre, a new recognition program for volunteers, a major upgrade for the TRC website, the new Capitol Theatre that will premiere at the performing arts centre in the Centrepoint shopping complex and a community open house at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre.
The newsletter also details the aerial photography available from TRC, planning to upgrade Fitzroy St and new design plans that will bring a new heart and soul to Taminda.
