If you're looking for a cuppa or a hit of coffee, you won't get it before you take off at the Tamworth Regional Airport tomorrow (Saturday) - but the billy's back on the boil from Sunday.
The airport kiosk will be closed for a day to allow some housekeeping to be completed and will not be available for terminal passengers.
The kiosk is getting a makeover with renovations including the fitting of new security screens, new benchtops and relocation of the coffee machines.
The kiosk upgrade is part of a $700,000 upgrade program for the airport this year.
A back-up power source for the runway lighting has been completed this week with the installation of a stand by generator which will also provide terminal power in the event of main power failures. And the terminal will get new flight info boards too. Outside there will be improvements to the airport hangars.
And a new airport strategic plan completed weeks ago has identified ways to keep the airport and its businesses moving ahead.
The plan includes creating a general aviation hanger precinct, extensions to the apron and tarmac, and a boost for new aviation-support or ancillary industries. Some of those works will get underway in the next few months.
