The team were across all these events which is no small feat.'
Council was also nominated in the Tourism and Sports category of the awards in recognition of its work to create renewed interest in established events and seeking to draw new visitors to the Tamworth region through a range of top level sporting events.

'It's great to see the work of Council employees across different parts of the business gain recognition through the awards,' he said.
'We see it as a vote of confidence in our efforts and it shows we are achieving our aim to deliver excellence to our community.'
