Tamworth Regional Council’s Neil Sharpham will be getting to know residents of Barraba well over the next two years.
He has been appointed to the role of Barraba Pipeline Engineer.
Formerly Tamworth Regional Council Headworks Engineer, Mr Sharpham will be responsible for all aspects of pre-construction and construction activities.
Tamworth Regional Council Director Water Enterprises, Bruce Logan, said Mr Sharpham has worked for Council for a total of eight years. Between 1994 and 1998, Mr Sharpham worked for the then Tamworth City Council as Water Supply Engineer and Water, Wastewater and Waste Manager before rejoining Tamworth Regional Council in 2006 as Headworks Engineer.
'He has extensive experience in the delivery of water and waste water projects,’ he said. 'His role as Barraba Pipeline Engineer will include him meeting with owners of property along the preferred route of the pipeline and liaising with them about access arrangements and other issues.
'I’m sure he will become a familiar face to members of the Barraba community.’
Mr Sharpham will be supervised by Nigel Thompson who is currently Manager Construction and Contracts in the Water Enterprises Directorate.
