Newcastle Jets v Brisbane Roar

For the first time in 6 years, top level Australian football returns to Tamworth when the Newcastle Jets take on the back-to-back champions of the A-League the Brisbane Roar on Saturday September 1 at Scully Park.

This will be the Jets second visit to the region to play an A-League pre-season game, while the Roar will be coming to Tamworth for the first time.

Both clubs feature some of the most talented footballers in the country plus international stars such as former English Premier League star Michael Bridges, German international Thomas Broich and last year’s Golden Boot winner Besart Berisha.
