Tamworth Regional Development Corporation - TRDC

Tamworth Regional Development Corporation (TRDC) is a not-for-profit joint venture between Tamworth Regional Council and the local business community. TRDC exists to facilitate economic growth across the Tamworth region. TRDC priorities are:

• to promote the Tamworth Region as a place to live, work and play
• to raise the capacity of regional businesses to create thriving and prosperous organisations

Delivering on these priorities means that TRDC is contributing to a dynamic, vibrant regional economy that attracts others to our region. To achieve these priorities, TRDC deliver tangible, meaningful outcomes beneficial to the region.

TRDC is involved in a range of initiatives which are constantly evolving and reflect the nature of regional challenges. TRDC has the following major functions:

• identification and promotion of economic development opportunities across the Tamworth region
• implementation of actions and initiatives for economic and business development in accordance with the Regional Development Strategy and Evocities initiatives
• co-operation with key development government agencies through partnership networking
• fostering business networks and supporting business development
• business capacity building
