Tamworth Regional Council is seeking to appoint an energetic, dedicated and experienced person as Manager, Waste Services. This is an ideal opportunity for a capable professional to play a vital role in working with our council, staff and citizens to develop and deliver quality services to our growing community.
The role encompasses the management and control of 12 Waste Management facilities involving the delivery of waste collection and recycling services. There will be a strong focus on strategic planning for the delivery of long term sustainable waste services.
The role is accountable for establishing and maintaining community education and engagement and also the provision of executive services to the 13 member councils in Northern Inland Regional Waste (NIRW) group. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and develop an effective team are essential.
The applicant should possess a Degree qualification in Environmental Engineering or related disciplines.

This position has been classified as Grade 24 within Council’s Salary System with a salary range of $117,230 - $126,847 per annum (inclusive of superannuation). Council will consider a market component for exceptional applicants.
