The Waste Services Division of Tamworth Regional Council is seeking the services of an enthusiastic individual who has plant operation experience and is willing to develop their skills and qualifications in the area of Waste Services. We are looking for a team orientated person who has the capacity to skillfully and safely operate large plant and equipment used in the management of waste. You will need to have a positive and helpful attitude towards assisting the many users of the landfill as well as having the capacity to undertake a significant range of manual handling tasks.
Our focus is on customer service, waste minimization, resource recovery, safety and environmental protection through appropriate waste management. If you have a similar focus then you may be the person we are looking for to join our landfill team.
We need you to have an MR licence/Workcover OHS Induction and a solid working knowledge of Manual Handling practices and techniques.
Licences and certificates include but are not limited to the above criteria.

The successful applicant must be keen to undertake professional and interpersonal training as required.
This position has been classified as a Grade 6 with a salary range of $761.90 to $824.50 for 38 hours work per week. Penalty rates and industry allowances apply to this position resulting in a substantial pay rate above the base salary. Landfill staff participates in a roster including working weekends and public holidays. The hours of work will generally be between 7.00am and 5.30pm with a reasonable expectation that overtime be worked.
