The Parks & Horticulture Services division of Tamworth Regional Council is seeking the services of individuals with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the field of Horticulture. You will be required to assist in the provision of competent and efficient horticultural practices for the parks and horticulture team whilst completing studies in the Certificate 3 in Horticulture. This position is a 4 year apprenticeship and the learning mode is both on the job and at TAFE. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
The applicant will need to possess a School Certificate or relevant experience or similar as well as hold a current Drivers Licence (P1 or P2 is acceptable).

The successful applicant must be keen to undertake professional and interpersonal training as required.
This position has been classified in the Training Band with a salary range of $411.70 to $734.70 for 38 hours work per week (commencement salary is dependent on age/and or qualifications). The hours of work will be 7.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Fridays with a nine day fortnight arrangement. Tamworth Regional Council offers a range of employee benefits to successful applicants.
