Tamworth Regional Council is seeking the services of an experienced building inspector to join our building certification team to provide a high level of service to our community. You will be responsible for the assessment and determination of a wide range of construction certificate and complying development applications for all classes of buildings within delegations. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
The position will require qualifications and experience in building surveying acceptable to the Building Professionals Board for Council Accreditation, preferably at A1 or A2 levels, and must demonstrate a high level knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant environmental legislation.
The successful applicant must be keen to undertake professional and interpersonal training as required.
This position is offered within the range of Grade 17, Entry Level ($1287.60 per week) to Step 3 ($1393.30 per week, plus superannuation) in Council’s salary system.
