All roads lead to Tamworth in January for the 41st
Tamworth Country Music Festival (TCMF).
One of Australia’s best celebrated events, the Tamworth Country Music Festival will be held from Friday 18 January to Sunday 27 January 2013. It's the largest music festival in the southern hemisphere and one of the top 10 in the world!
There is a wide variety of country music showcased during the festival, with over 2,200 events and 4,000 different performances or gigs in 90 different venues.
There are over 600 buskers in Peel Street alone, providing a diverse range of entertainment each day – it is no wonder the Festival attracts over 60,000 visitors.
Tamworth Regional Council is a key festival organiser by contributing major infrastructure for the annual celebrations and works with various stakeholders to bring together the festival. Scores of industry and city partners play a huge role in presenting the festival line up each year.
In 2008,
Events NSW formally recognised the importance of this iconic festival and announced a long term partnership with Tamworth Regional Council, Tourism Tamworth Ltd and the Country Music Association of Australia.
