Community Centres and Halls
Council owns and operates several large community facilities, such as the Manilla Town Hall complex , the Tamworth Community Centre and Transit Lounge and the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall. There are another twenty five community facilities across the region, which are operated by local section 355 Committees on behalf of Council.

There are twenty eight community centres and halls across the region, ranging from the purpose-built Tamworth Community Centre to small public halls that are managed by local management committees, all of which can be hired.

The Manilla Town Hall complex occupies a site in the centre of Manilla that dates back to 1885. It comprises two halls, including a stage and upstairs seating gallery, as well as the newly renovated Manilla Mechanics Institute Meeting Room, all of which are available for hire.

The Tamworth Community Centre has seen both military and civic service during its history, which dates back to 1855. The Centre has since been renovated and is now a multi-purpose heritage-listed building that comprises four seperate meeting rooms and a fully equipped kitchen and bar. The Tamworth Community Centre is conveniently located on the edge of the Tamworth CBD, within easy reach of several community and health facilities.

The stunning historic Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall, located in the heart of the CBD on Fitzroy Street, is a venue with fantastic ambience. It was officially opened in 1934 as a lasting memorial to Tamworth and district soldiers and war workers and now plays host to everything from community meetings to weddings and balls.

The Tamworth Transit Lounge is a free rest area for volunteer drivers and their clients, which is housed in the Tamworth Community Centre.
